Against the context of the multi-million pound campus redevelopment, Halpin was approached by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Swansea University who were looking to undertake an external review of their facilities, with particular emphasis on changes that could enhance or improve the student experience, in line with sector trends.
Led by Consulting Fellow Sara Doherty, we conducted interviews with a range of stakeholders across the University and considered a wide range of documents related to service provision.
Crucially, the student voice was a central facet of the review, and we delivered four workshops with undergraduate and postgraduate students across the two main campuses. Combined with our research was a desk-based exercise which looked at other comparable institutions’ offerings and benchmarked these results against Swansea.
