Justin has worked in the higher education sector for more than 25 years – initially in-house at the University of Hertfordshire’s Communications Office and more recently as a consultant addressing communications strategy and reputational impact.

He has worked with more than 80 universities (UK an internationally), 30 business schools and a range of organisations serving the education and skills sector. His clients have included the University of Cambridge, Durham University, University of Warwick, University of Nottingham, University of Liverpool, Henley Business School, Santander Universities, HEFCE, Laureate Online Education, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s education wing, and the BT Better World education campaign.

Justin’s expertise includes perceptions research, reputational analysis, stakeholder mapping and engagement, communications strategy, communications function reviews, and the evaluation of communications impact and performance. He has access to specialists in crisis communications, public affairs, community consultation, media management and an international network of partners in 34 markets.

In 2012 Justin was awarded a Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations for services to education, and he is a member of the PRCA. He frequently speaks at conferences on reputation and communications issues.
