Fundraising can feel riskier than ever
Public scrutiny of fundraising has increased considerably – alumni, staff and students will all ask you where funds have come from and will challenge you if they believe that the source of a donation is unethical. Are you confident about your fundraising policies and practices with regards to ethical and reputational risk? Has your governing body discussed fundraising risk? Do you have the capacity to adequately research your prospective and current donors?
The Halpin team can review your policies and procedures to ensure that they provide you with appropriate risk management. We can lead Board/senior team discussions to help you to write (or re-write) your gift acceptance policy. We can also provide prospect research services to screen your prospective and current donors for ethical risk.
