Amanda Owen-Meehan

An experienced strategic leader and consultant with a proven track record of managing and improving teams and services across the student lifecycle within both Further and Higher Education

Amanda has over 20 years’ experience within higher and further education across a variety of professional services teams. Leadership roles have included those held with The University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA).

Her knowledge is focused on the student lifecycle with a specialism in the areas of student experience, engagement and institutional compliance. Recent work has focused on transformative process improvement to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of student-facing professional services teams.

Amanda is an external Trustee to Newman Students’ Union and a member and network coordinator with The Association of University Administrators

Since 2018 she has been working as a consultant and interim leader with clients such as Coventry University, Istituto Marangoni (London), University of East London and Leeds Arts University

Alongside consultancy and leadership work, Amanda is also a qualified career and leadership development coach and NLP Practitioner currently studying for a professional postgraduate qualification in Executive Coaching and Mentoring
