As a consultant, Andrew is adept at working with his clients in an inclusive way, bringing his expertise to reviewing income streams, writing strategies, creating Cases for Support and developing pipelines and prospects. He is skilled at getting up to speed quickly, reviewing and developing applications, and is a good strategic planner, but also pragmatic and hands-on when needed, with excellent project/change management skills and the ability to meet challenging deadlines.
Andrew has hands-on technical experience of trusts, corporate and statutory fundraising, plus major donor and individual donor programmes. As Director of Fundraising at the Mental Health Foundation, he was instrumental in setting up one of the first in-house street fundraising teams in the sector and has managed and developed a range of community and fundraising events.
With communications expertise mainly in branding and marketing, plus some media and press experience, Andrew has written for the Guardian and Third Sector, supporting smaller organisations with their communications planning and messaging, both within the UK and in Europe. He also brings extensive trustee experience, having been one himself and having worked with many throughout his career.
