Fiona Duffy

Senior Fundraising Leader and Strategist

Fiona is a senior fundraising leader and strategist.

With over 28 years’ experience in higher education advancement, and more than 10 years’ experience of leading high net worth fundraising teams, Fiona is valued for her ability to lead and develop teams towards shared goals. She has special expertise in major gifts and principal gift fundraising and coaching fundraisers.

Most recently, Fiona held the position of Director of Development at Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge, and during this time she managed a global base of approximately 5,000 former students. As well as being a member of the senior management team, Fiona was accountable for strategic planning, policy making and management leadership. Whilst in this role, Fiona held a voluntary role as Chair of the College Development Directors’ Committee, involving her in governance and strategy activity across a large and complex organisation.

Prior to this, Fiona worked extensively with University College London, where she ultimately held the role of Head of Principal Gifts. Previously, Fiona was Head of Development at the Women’s Library, London Metropolitan University, and led the Churchill Museum Campaign at the Imperial War Museum.

Fiona is currently the Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the London Gay Men’s Chorus, supporting them through a significant governance and strategy review.
