Rob Drury

Consulting Fellow

Rob is a consultant with a background working across People & Culture and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI). His experience is focused largely across the higher education (HE) sector, having worked with both students’ unions and universities, as well as within the third sector. He is currently a member of the University of Suffolk Students’ Union Turnaround Board and is actively interested in HE, with a focus on how every role can impact student experience and outcomes.

He began his career in human resources during postgraduate study which developed into gaining experience across organisational development, employee relations and learning & development, before specialising in EDI with a focus on supporting race equality projects at large institutions.

Since joining Halpin in 2022 Rob has brought his expertise to many of Halpin’s key projects, assisting in understanding team restructuring, analysis and staffing, as well as completing insightful benchmarking research. He is a skilled interviewer of leadership, staff and prospects, and is able to build quick rapport with stakeholders of various backgrounds.

Rob brings with him knowledge of project management, membership engagement and managing processes alongside an accurate and compassionate approach. Since joining Halpin, Rob has worked across several fundraising projects, including for the Royal Statistical Society and University of Northumbria, and Strategic and People & Governance projects for Aston University, the University of Sussex and Bournemouth University.
