Rob is a consultant with a background working across People & Culture and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI). His experience is focused largely across the higher education sector, having worked with both students’ unions and universities, as well as within the third sector. Rob is an accredited member of both the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and the Institute of Equality and Diversity Professionals (IEDP).
Rob graduated from both undergraduate and postgraduate study at the University of East Anglia in 2017. He began his career in human resources during his study which developed into gaining experience across organisational development, employee relations and training, before specialising in EDI with a focus on supporting race equality projects at large institutions.
Rob has coordinated and led submissions to national frameworks, alongside consulting on their development, and provided development services to the University of East Anglia BAME Staff Network. His approaches to interrogating data and securing additional collection has illuminated experience and representational issues within recruitment and governance at various levels, and Rob has supported departments and institutions with the creation and refinement of EDI action plans.
Rob brings with him knowledge of project management, membership engagement and people processes alongside an accurate and compassionate approach, and will be working across Halpin’s service areas with clients.
