Selena is a dynamic and sought-after consultant with extensive HE, FE and public sector senior leadership experience.
She has worked across higher education, central and local government in roles that have combined her interests in education, enterprise and regeneration. Her academic background is in Organisational Development and she is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts.
She has been part of the team for Halpin Governance Reviews for the Universities of Manchester, Liverpool, Sunderland and Westminster and supported the development of a new strategy for AECC University College.
Selena is a founding non-executive director of Wonkhe – the online home of higher education policy wonks and regular contributor to Wonkhe podcasts. She has been a Chair of Governors at two FE Colleges and served as a governor at a variety of schools over the last 20yrs.
Past appointments include Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of East London, where she was responsible for Strategic Planning & External Development, as well as a senior advisor on civic engagement and strategic development to the Executive team at Goldsmiths, University of London.
