Tom Stevenson

Marketing and Sales Manager

Prior to joining Halpin, Tom worked at the University of Exeter as Head of Communications and Marketing. He brings to his role at Halpin broad experience of higher education and skills gained from a variety of roles during his career. Initially working in the area of executive support, in 2014 Tom began a succession of student recruitment and marketing positions, moving roles as the sector’s approach to marketing and recruitment evolved. In this time, he was able to deliver a number of firsts, including launching Exeter’s degree apprenticeship offering, and developing a foundation pathway for students joining Exeter from less-advantaged backgrounds.

An original thinker, Tom combines creativity and intuitive perception with logic and a strong belief in data-led decision making. With a background in the arts, he has a keen appreciation of good design and visual ways of communicating. Thoughtful, honest and calm, Tom firmly believes in taking a human approach to marketing, and is fast becoming a sage on the subject to the wider Halpin team.

Tom is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
