Vicky is a highly regarded HE consultant with particular expertise in international strategy development.
Vicky has 20 years’ experience in the UK HE sector, starting off at what is now University of Wales Trinity St David, then Edinburgh Napier University, before settling in southern England (Bournemouth University) in 2000.
Internationalisation has been a constant thread in her roles which have ranged from establishing an International Office from scratch to leading an 80-person Marketing & Communications Directorate at Bournemouth University. She has 13 years’ experience operating at University Leadership Team level and leading organisation-wide initiatives. Vicky has direct experience of engaging with students, partner organisations and other stakeholders in South East Asia, South Asia, East Asia, North America, Africa and Europe.
Alongside her work, Vicky completed a Doctorate of Business Administration in higher education management at the University of Bath. Her thesis (2007) examined motivations, strategies, and approaches to internationalisation at UK HEIs.
Since moving into consultancy in 2013 she has undertaken numerous projects for UK and international clients including advising a Russell Group university on the marketing strategy and operations for its new overseas campus; presenting options for establishing an overseas office; identifying markets ripe for transnational education pathways; as well as developing and reviewing international strategies and advising on associated delivery structures.
